The Northeast Florida/Southeast Georgia TCC DChapter met on Dec. 12 at St. Mary’s Seafood & More restaurant in St. Augustine.
The attendees enjoyed a couple of hours of lively discussions on recent and future travel as well as dining on some local specialties. In addition to some regular members and guests, we were pleased to welcome new member Kathleen Ondrasik, as well as her husband John Ondrasik. Discussion topics included varying vaccine requirements, ongoing difficulties with airlines, and changes in travel due to recent world conflicts.
Several members contributed advice on how to travel to some of the smaller countries in Europe such as Luxembourg, Andorra, San Marino, Lichtenstein and Slovenia. Other talk centered around traveling to some of the Pacific islands such as Easter Island, Pitcairn Island, Norfolk Island, Fiji, Togo, the Cook Islands and French Polynesia. Comparison of expedition cruises to Svalbard, the Northwest Passage and Antarctica were also featured.
Holiday decorations and a festive mood made it a good way to end the year, and the chapter is looking forward to holding three or four meetings in 2024 at various locations in our territory.
