Report From the January 2020 Washington DC Chapter Gathering

Vials of the cleanest air on earth are passed around at the January 2020 Washington, D.C., luncheon.

I [coordinator Jeff Houle] am happy to report a fantastic meeting of the Washington, D.C., chapter on Jan. 25, 2020, at J. Gilbert’s restaurant in McLean, Virginia. We had a record turnout and welcomed a number of new members and guests. Pictured next to me in the photo above is “NASA Mike” Comberiate, 71, who brought photos of himself performing handstands in every United Nations country. Nasa Mike and I are holding three small vials that Mike brought to the meeting: One contains a sample of the Cleanest Air on Earth. It was prepared by NOAA’s Climate Monitoring and Diagnostics Lab at the exact Geographic South Pole (90S).
