SPEAKER: Wendy Arbeit on Papua New Guinea Western to Eastern Highlands and the
Goroka Show

Wendy’s favorite part of traveling is interacting with exotic cultures and tribes. With Wanda Ross (a former northern California TCC member) as her travel companion, she attended one of her bucket list items, the September 2018 Goroka Show sing-sing in Papua New Guinea.

Wendy will recount her once-in-a-lifetime adventure, where she met local tribes and villagers, ate a meal prepared in a mumu earth oven, watched a fire and smoke dance, attended the Goroka show, and collected a plethora of unique souvenirs along the way! Her presentation will include a lively and interactive slideshow displaying her colorful photographs (which will appear alongside an article she wrote in the January 2019 PNG Air Magazine and also in the official “Welcome to Papua Guinea” brochure). She will also discuss helpful tips, safety information, and her impressions, as well as her pre-trip excursion to Honiara and Gizo in the Solomon Islands.

RSVP: Please pre-pay by check no later than Feb. 23. Contact Tim Carlson ASAP for details (tel 707- 433-7121, email timjeana@sbcglobal.net).
