Enthusiastic Turnout in Toronto for the Final 2018 Meeting of the Eastern Canada TCC Chapter

Hello World Travelers,

What a great member turnout for our TCC Eastern Canada meeting on Dec. 8 in downtown Toronto!

Twenty-two enthusiast attendees enjoyed a lively agenda, which was highlighted by Anne and Alan Shaver’s wonderful account of their visit to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan. The theme of their talk was “Following the Silk Route Through Central Asia” – fascinating. Thank you Alan and Anne.

David Selley also treated us to some incredible photos of his trip to Greenland, specifically the Ilulissat Ice Fiord. Amazing.

For our group interaction feature, folks came prepared to answer: “What is the most interesting and or unusual item of food or meal you have tasted on your travels?” Bugs, snakes, weird eggs and crazy stories – we both laughed and cringed!

Our 2019 meetings will be on:

  • April 27
  • Sept. 14
  • Dec. 14

Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season and an exciting, travel-filled 2019.

Warm regards,

Rick Shaver, Eastern Canada Chapter Coordinator
