Highlights From the January 2017 Pennsylvania Chapter Meeting

Philadelphia-area TCC members met on Jan. 29 at Indonesia Restaurant. The guest speaker was Linda Resnick, founder of Women International Leaders, a micro-lending nonprofit based in the city. The group was profiled at length recently in The Inquirer‘s Sunday Business Section.

In addition, here are the key take-aways from the meeting:

  • We welcomed new member Mark Stickler and his wife Wendy to the local chapter.
  • Our next meetings will be as follows: Sunday, May 21, at 5 p.m. at Perla, a well-reviewed Passyunk Square restaurant with Filipino food, featuring speaker Audrey Allen, immigration attorney; and Sunday, Sept. 24, also at 5 p.m., at Wah-Gi-Wah, Pakistani cuisine, with guest speaker/Saudi expert Lisa Woods of KPMG.
  • Lou Bluver has generously offered to revive the Travel Movie Series at his home on Rittenhouse Square in February. Dates are Monday, Feb. 6, and Tuesday, Feb. 21, at 6:30 p.m. In both cases, kindly RSVP directly to Lou at LSBTRAVEL@aol.com. We thank him for his hospitality and opening his beautiful home to our membership.
