Kansas City Chapter Enjoys Fascinating Presentation About Namibia

The Kansas City chapter will next meet at 11:30 at Trezo Mare restaurant on March 27, reports Area Coordinator Steve Fuller. Subsequent meetings, tentatively, will be on June 26, Sept. 25 and Dec. 4 at the same place and time.

University of Missouri Kansas City Professor Nick Petroff presented a slide show on his fascinating trip to Namibia at the Dec. 5 meeting. The trivia question was, “What geographic trait is shared by Chile, Nepal, Panama and Italy?” Christian Fuller gave the correct answer: each country is geographically at least twice as long as it is wide.

Joan Battey was recognized for visiting her 50th state. Fuller reports that, of the 26 members and guests present, 12 had also visited all 50 states.
