Meet Frances Francesc Borrull, Our New Mediterranean Chapter Coordinator
My life has been blessed with combining my two great passions: travel and railways.
When I was young, Inter-Rail passes enabled me to travel by train across Europe. Once married, my wife and I took trips to Asia, the Middle East and North America, and work responsibilities gave me the possibility to visit Latin American countries, too. In 2006 I learned about the TCC and began counting. Six years later, parallel with my retirement, I joined the club.
My art history degree, TCC membership, and the foundation and support of the Mediterranean Chapter have enabled me to transform dreams into reality in a shared way with the Chapter mates. Thanks!
I still dream of completing the seven continents with Australia, Greenland and Antarctica and some routes like the Pan- American, and Cape Town to Cairo.

Monthly “Destination” Zoom Meetings
St. Louis Chapter Coordinator Charles Merkel has put together great club wide Zoom presentations featuring fascinating speakers.
Starting in November, “Malta” featured Malta Tourism’s Michelle Buttigieg. December’s “German Christmas Markets” featured German coordinator, Armin Schreiner, and German National Tourist Office’s, Carolin Belcher. Most recently, the “Hippie Trail” had some technical difficulties but Lonely Planet’s, Tony Wheeler, rescued the event as an interesting guest speaker.
