South Sudan Becomes the 321st TCC Country

The Republic of South Sudan became an independent state on July 9, 2011, following a half century of struggle for independence. It, therefore, becomes the 321st TCC Country. This photo, taken by Past President Kevin Hughes, shows President Kiir (in black cowboy hat) casting the first vote in the referendum. The South Sudan Pound (SSP) was released to the market July 18. The new currency will exchange 1:1 to the Sudan Pound (SDG).
