Fellow Texas, Oklahoma and Louisiana Members:
We hope your Thanksgiving Day was celebrating the season, appreciating friends and family, and we wish you the best for the coming Holiday Season.
We have set a date for an in-person lunch at Lakewood Yacht Club for Saturday, Jan. 14. For those of you joining us from Oklahoma, our other cities in Texas, or Louisiana, if you come in the night before, we will plan an evening meal together.
As an opening to our meeting we’re asking for “C” pictures. Even if you’re not able to attend, please send a few of your “C” pictures plus the story and we will share these with the attending members. Please send your pictures before Jan. 10 so Mark can enter them in the slide show.
Now the exciting news: Our speaker will be sstronaut Mike Foreman, who I think we can all agree is an extreme traveler and circumnavigator. He will show pictures and talk about his travels in outer space.
Now, we haven’t forgotten our northern Dallas chapter members. Linda Abraham-Silver, who contacted her friend to be our January speaker, has volunteered to arrange meetings in Dallas in the spring which all members can attend. This date will be decided in the near future.
