Documentary filmmaker Craig Forrest

Award-winning documentary filmmaker and TCC member Craig Forrest will be the speaker at the Los Angeles area TCC Meeting on Dec. 8 at Lawry’s restaurant. “Passport, Camera, Ready to Travel” is his subject. He will show clips from The Amazing Race, the Discovery, Travel and History channels, and Animal Planet – followed by questions/answers and discussion.

Craig has traveled to 144 countries and six continents for his clients, which also include CBS, ABC, A&E and PBS. His media projects have won or been nominated for 29 film festival, television and video awards. Craig was part of the Season 14 production team for The Amazing Race, which won the 2009 Primetime Emmy for Best Reality Competition. He has covered subjects as diverse as voodoo, Santeria, tribal warfare, sex trafficking, Islamic terrorism, famine, poverty, demonic possession and the supernatural.

Craig holds a Master’s Degree in Film Studies from Chapman University and has authored a number of books on digital filmmaking. Recently, he served as an Adjunct Professor of Media Production at Pepperdine University in Malibu.
